Single missing tooth

You may looking to have a single tooth replaced with an implant because you have been missing one for a while or there is an existing tooth that needs to be extracted. Most times, we will need to take a scan to assess how much bone there is in the area and if it’s enough to hold an implant. If there is not enogh bone, you may require a bone graft.

In some cases, an implant can be placed immediately and a new tooth replacement can be placed straight away. Most of the time, however, a period of 3 months or more is required to allow the bone to grow around the implant and for the implant to be stable in the bone. During this time, we will ensure that a temporary tooth replacement is placed to make sure that you don’t have a gappy smile.

Once the implant has healed and is stable enough to hold a brand new tooth replacement, your final crown can be attached to the implant, brining your smile to life.
